The Mohawk Blues

So today I did my first "teaching" gig at the church... not preaching mind you. It was a Journey Sunday... a Sunday school type format for all of you non Life-Churchers. I talked a.. bit about community. It was hard to get the words out because every bit of salive seemed to leave my mouth and head straight for my sweat glands. Thats right, sweaty and cotton mouthed. I would have liked water, but that would have only sped up the sweating process... so dehydration was basically the best way to go. Oh but wait, you have not heard the best part. A favorite professor of mine decided to sit in MY class, as if having friends in there was not hard enough... my favorite prof, and a theology prof at that.... I nearly wet my pants.

On the flip side, one of the college girls asked me to dye her mohawk blue. In her honor, I will call her Sarah, the girl with the mohawk... (we had a conversation about people on campus referring to her that way... labels be hanged). Anyway, I was given the privilege of painting her faded mohawk a new and brilliant blue. So fun. She did not put it up though, much to my chagrin (definite Jeanette Oke word).

Hair in primary colors for all (that would be yellow, red or blue).

posted by the girl with the dry mouth.
