1, 2, 3, 4, 5..... 20 TICKS

That's right... I found at least 20 ticks on me on my 6 day adventure into the northwoods. I think that there is still one in my ear - GROSS!!! Anyway, I am keeping an eye out for that dreaded bulls-eye rash that would indicate something like Lime disease... that would be a bummer.

THe rest of the trip was eventful. The girls were, well they were 14. Enough said. Not so much into doing anything unless specifically asked. We had a couple of capsized canoes, but some skittles and oreos seemed to heal the trauma of it all. It was beautiful in the places where we stayed. Enjoy the pics.

Amplification

My life is more amplified today than it was 2 days ago. Why you ask... NO, I did not just purchase the Amplified Bible (although I do have a copy - I have no idea from where it came - I digress). The reason is the new speakers and sub woofer. Yeah. Also, I have the electronic blow horn (or is it bull horn - everyone says it so fast that I cannot tell?) for church in my trunk... just waiting to bring my voice to an audible level from 100 yards away. Also, I am listening to launchcast 90s rock which I love on the new speakers... so, you see, more amplified. The bull/blow horn is for use during the 1st all church retreat that we are doing- so excited - so nervous - so freaked out that it is 3 days away and there is so much to do. So much to do... my stress level is amplified as well.

Speaking of Pedicured Feet...

Gross. That is what I think of feet - it is true. Tonight I was cleaning (sort of) this dude's house that he moved out of a couple of months ago. We have to clean it before we paint it. We have to remove all of the trash before we paint it. He left all kinds of garbage everywhere. I can't complain too much because I found some great computer speakers (he said we could keep what we found). But there was stuff everywhere for feet... you know, the disposable flip flops you get when you have a pedicure, the things you stick between your toes when you paint your toenails and all kinds of foot creme... yuck. So his feet are immaculate, but his apartment was gross. I have also been to his new house... BEAUTIFUL... and clean :-) At any rate, these speakers sound great.

BTW... who was the commenter on the last blog. Just curious.

I will try to be more regular in writing... I promise.

here's to clean feet and great sound.
