Taize, big party and painting

Tonight I went to a Taize service in Oak Park. It was amazing. I recommend this kind of liturgical worship for anyone... catholic or not. The church was beautiful. I walked in a couple of minutes late, which I do not recommend because they do moments of silence in which your lateness may stand out. It was quite enjoyable. I am tired now. I passed up the chance to see "Mad Hot Ballroom" which I have been wanting to see for some time. It is a "documentary" of sorts about urban middle schoolers learning ballroom dance. What does not sound great about that.

Meanwhile, I have been painting. Painting at my pastor's and painting in my basement. My basement is now a color called "copper coin" with bit of "sandy gold" or "golden sand" or something. I painted ginormous flowers on my walls down there. Its cool. But the best part of this is that it is in preparation for the holiday holipalooza that takes place tomorrow night. Thats right... a party at my house. It will be fun. I hope it is not 40 women and 6 guys like it was last year. We have made a concerted effort to invite more men. Why don't guys come to these things. Its just a party... with free food... and DDR... and karaoke, for crying out loud. I will update after the party.

Peace love and more men
