BOY - SEE ME!

I recently went on a 20-hour-in-one-day road trip with my sister and her 4 kids and her minivan. It was long. The second youngest - a 3 year old diva - could oft be heard in the background trying to get her brother's attention: BOY! SEE ME! I love that she insists on calling her brother by his gender rather than his name. The trip as a whole was without any eventful occurances - I suppose that is good.

I am currently working in an office - I thought I would sooner chew glass than do this again... but here I find myself. Today as I returned from lunch, a group of women from the office were enjoying cake at an outside bridal shower. They asked me to join them for cake. As I walked through the middle of a large circle of office women plopped on the ground, I failed to notice the large hole in the dirt that was evidently put there soley for my misery. YEP- I stepped in it. The crowd of business casual clad woman gasped in unison. I however did not falter. I simply smirked and said... there's a hole - trying desperately to not cringe in pain. I won. This is one of those times when I wished noone would "see me".
